Skyler Nuelle

Head of Partnerships and Impact Analysis

Skyler joined the Grumeti Fund team full-time in February 2024 as the Head of Partnerships and Impact Analysis. She first started working with the Grumeti Fund as an intern in July 2022 and continued to support our mission as a consultant through 2023.

As Head of Partnerships & Impact Analysis, Skyler looks for opportunities to better conserve the Serengeti ecosystem through program analysis, impact evaluation, and the development of unique partnerships. She enhances Grumeti Fund’s ability to make informed decisions and maximizes our positive impacts throughout the ecosystem.

Skyler is from the United States, and attributes her love for wildlife and wild spaces to her upbringing in South Carolina’s coastal Lowcountry. She is fascinated by the intersection of environmental, social, and economic issues, and has experience advancing environmental protection through conservation, policy, and consulting roles in the past. Skyler received a B.A. in Global Studies: Security and Justice and a minor in Environmental Science from the University of Virginia (UVA) and received her Master’s of Leadership & Public Policy from UVA’s Frank Batten School. While in school, Skyler studied topics including wildlife conservation, political ecology, economics, and sustainable development in Tanzania, Vietnam, and Ecuador.
